Phase is about our communities and their future, the public sector
and local government - Consultants bringing together experience
and skills in organisational change, change management, partnership
working, programme management and e-Government.
We’ve heard from people on
the ground, from Government observers, from the Local Government
Association and repeatedly in the press and from surveys about the
shortage of skilled and experienced people needed to help public
sector managers meet the many modernisation challenges that are
facing them. We know from our own local government Director level
management experience exactly the sort of broad but practical skills
that are required to deliver innovative, quick, and sustainable
change and performance improvement.
The public sector is in the ‘third
phase’ of meeting the many modernisation pressures. The first
two phases of understanding the new demands, and deciding on ways
forward are now leading to the pressures in the planning and implementation
- the 3rd phase. Moving this agenda forward increases the demand
for suitably experienced people, particularly those with a proven
track record at the top level.
